All Out Attack – Getting that late goal

Just a quick post that some of you might find useful but we have all been in that situation when we are chasing a goal (or two) with 15/20 miutes to go and we really need a goal.

I just thought I’d share share a couple of the things that I do that get some decent results.
  • Set though balls to often for all players.
  • Increase the amount of players making forward runs.
  • Set team mentality to ‘all out attack’.
  • Up all mentalities by a few clicks.
  • Move creativity three quarters of the way to the top NOT right to the top. That gets too messy.
  • Set tempo to fast.
If you get the goal you are after make sure you revert back to your original tactics because you’ll leave yourself way open at the back.

Players and Opposition Instruction :

Opposition Instruction :

Some FM-ers said that OI (opposition instruction) is not important, you can use these tactics without OI and get a great success. But in my opinion OI is an integral part of my tactics and without it these tactics effectiveness will not reach its maximum. Against weaker teams without OI will make no different in most case, but against stronger teams OI means a lot. I am always using OI on every single game, against stronger or weaker teams.

This is the latest OI I used :
  1. Hard tackle :
    • On every ai players if their bravery 10- (10 or lesser)
    • Striker and ai key players with bravery 15-
  2. Tight marking always :
    • All players except GK and DC or SW
  3. Show on foot
    • Left foot : DR, DMR, MR, AMR, FR
    • Right foot : DL, DML, ML, AML, FL
