Team Talk for Football manager 2008

Team Talks :
Team talk is very very important on this game version, it play a big part of your career in FM 08. In many case, win or loose depend on our team talk choice.

Many of FM-ers think, if they cant score, striker keep wasting chance, goalkeeper do not catch the ball and let his net banged all the time, that what is tactic do. But I think thats not exactly true, in my opinion, almost all of that case happen because wrong team talk choice. That is the reason why a lot of people find its hard to create a good tactic because they do not know which one is the problem, the tactic or team talk choice.

Sadly there is no clue how exactly it works, as it involve a lot of factor like players morale, match odd, personality, last match result, and maybe something else that people never thought. We can only guess how it works. And the worse thing is we can do nothing for a half match if we make a wrong choice.
As I said before, good tactic with crap team talk means nothing.

Pre match team talk :

• As general pre match team talk setting, use 'For the fans', this the most safe team talk.
• Use 'no pressure' on young player who makes his debut, but for a experience player use 'you have faith'.
• On very high pressure match like european champions league final, use 'Wish Luck' if you are underdog.

Half time team talk :

Losing game :

• pick 'disappointed' if your team is better than your opposition team. But if your team is a big team and your opposition is a weak team and you are 2 goals behind, 'angry' is the right choice.
• use 'encourage' if opposition team better than yours.

An even score :

• You can pick 'For the fans' if your team is slightly better or worse than your opposition team.
• But if you are Goliath against David, say 'disappointed' to your team

You score more than your opposition :

• As general setting use 'For the fans', if it is available. But if you win 2 goals margin, this option will not available. I will choose 'You have faith' for each players if that option unavailable.
• Tell your players 'You have faith' for players with 8+ rating or scoring or assisting
• Say 'Pleased' sometimes work well, but sometimes makes players lazy and become a boomerang, especially against better team than yours.
